NetSuite Data Conversion

Data Conversion for NetSuite does not have to be Complex

SightLines uses a tool that converts your data spreadsheet into XML, ready to upload to the NetSuite system.

We provide the template and you take the data from the current system in a csv, comma separated value, format and load the template. We'll take care of the xml conversion and the load into NetSuite.

Normally, we load several records and have you validate their correctness. Then we load the first batch and again ask you to validate the records. Finally we load the remaining records. Again we validate and fix any issues.

Conversion Costs: Determined by the number of record types, the number of records in each type and the amount of data cleaning and scrubbing that you ask SightLines to perform.

What to Convert? The answer to this question depends on your needs, but in general we counsel our clients to convert a clean, scrubbed data set, excluding the financial transactions. We bring over only the open transaction that impact the current month. Moving financial transactions from one system to another is risky, expensive and frustrating. Usually, the result is not satisfying. Better to keep the old system read only for 1 year after the cutover for financial comparisons, then turn it off.
