About Us

SightLines Consulting formed in the last quarter of 2004. We were very experienced ERP/CRM consultants looking for an opportunity to build a national consulting practice around a great and innovative product

We found an innovative product in NetSuite, a completely integrated ERP/CRM/Web suite. We formed our practice around small and medium enterprises who need advanced computing resources for competitive advantage in their market and to support their unique business models.

We also wanted a practice that expressed our values: Get and keep yourself and the client pulling the oar in the same direction. An adversarial relationship with the client is not healthy or useful.

Our Mission was simple: Help Small and Medium size companies exploit the best software to build their young companies successfully.

Our Competitive Advantage is also simple: We know NetSuite, and we deliver the highest quality consulting at the best prices.

SightLines has been a NetSuite partner for 5 years, so let us brag a little.

We were one of the first partners to offer complete remote implementations. We quickly saw that the NetSuite implementation would not support an on site consulting team. Not only was the cost prohibitive, but there is no way that Small and Medium Enterprises can afford the time commitment that on-premise consultation requires.

On premise software often includes implementation services at $3 for every $1 of licenses. Our Services run between $.80 to $1.20 per $1 of license.

So we started to perform the entire implementation remotely, and we have now done over 75 NetSuite implementations using our efficient on-demand model.

A note about SightLines: As mentioned we have been doing NetSuite for the past 4 years. Our backgrounds are primarily Oracle, though we have, as we have grown, acquired resources with a varied history of system work. Our main base is Romeo, Michigan, a small village north of Detroit. We work out of a remodeled building from the mid 19th century.

We try to keep projects moving forward while also being sensitive to the client's time and effort. We think the keys to successful projects are product expertise, flexibility and a good sense of humor. We keep a project plan to help guide us a bit, but plans by themselves do not a successful project make. Hard work, good listening skills, patient training and strong business knowledge are very important, and very rare.

Though our physical environment was built before the telephone, our vision has always been to the future. We started to evangelize the Software as a Service model before the bandwagon left the station. Our experience with Oracle led us to believe, and we still do, that a software subscription is better than owning a server.
